Breakdown 2000 @ Snakepit, Denver
By Ricochet

ATM TOUR / UNDERFIRE TOUR

The night started off well with Frenzic laying down some steady beats for about an hour or so(I came in a wee late), warming up the crowd for the inevitable.  A lot of dancers/break-dancers showed up that night and formed a dance circle in the middle of the floor.  Some of the best I've ever seen in Colorado!!  Props to them! I think that because those dancers had such a strong circle going...Stakka & Skynet started to play some awesome rollers, with some very nice funky and liquid bass!  They continued for about a half an hour until about the same time Kenny Ken and MC Fearless decided to come hang out!! As soon as Fearless got on the mic, Stakka picked up the pace with some awesome amen tracks and high energy drum and bass.  The crowd went absolutely wild!  Fearless was awesome on the mic!  He didn't over power the tracks, and he only came in where necessary.  His lyrics were tight, and his freestyles had the crowd yelling for more! "Side Effects" was definitely the tune of the night!

Due to Colorado's laws on after-hours establishments, we here in Denver pretty much are forced to play in smaller bars with small dance floors and what not.  Most of these bars close after the last call for alcohol at 1:30 AM.  Because the vibe was so strong we were able to push it another half of an hour.  I know it doesn't sound like much, but it made all the difference. Stakka, Skynet, and Frenzic have definitely earned the respect they deserve here in Denver.  I'm sure they will be back! Many thanks go out to them for sharing their vibe with us.
