DnB Forum Community

August 2001, and it was finally recognised that the internet was missing something that the scene needed to implement. We’ve got sites with chat-rooms, message boards and forms of interactivity, but what about a website, totally dedicated to the drum and bass community? That’s where the DnB Forum Community step in. A new website looking to provide a focal front for all bassheadz. A place to meet and interact, a place to have your concerns heard. www.dnbHQ.com is being backed by the bombsounds kru, why? Cos it’s bringing the masses together, and Wolfwillow, the owner, is full of enthusiasm…
"I want people to listen to people. i want people to listen to music. i
want people to make better music because of it. i want everyone with
ears and eyes to know what D&B is, and recognise it for what it is.
" But as ever, it is always going to be a challenge. We know what you are thinking, but how is this site different from others? It has a long way to go, its only just started, but this site is offering things on a more personal level:
"We're a completely uncommercial site, and make no money whatsoever. the
running cost comes from us, from our own pockets. were currently still
a small site but growing quickly. at the moment the site is very
personal, i reply to every email i receive and help people where i can.
because of this, the Forum members are not treated as a group of people
that supply me with money. they are individuals that make the music what
it is.
"
Sites can take a long time to develop, Bombsounds is only feeling the fruits of it’s labour now after 2 years of grafting, so we’re less than expecting the DnB Forum to become the next drum and bass arena anytime soon, however, traffic stats are rising as each day passes, and Wolfwillow is already looking to the future.
"I hope that the Community has a positive effect on the scene. If one
person, somewhere, learns something about the music because of the site,
then its been worthwhile. But of course, id like it to be more people
than that! :-D
"
The website currently hosts a whole lot of interactivity, games and info for all the bassheadz in the scene, so check em out, and feel the vibe:
