REVIEW BY: Knowledge mag
A crystal clear break introduces this one with a nice wailing pad sound which gives a false sense of peace because watch out... this one is a killa! This is the pick of the bunch from the tracks Phonix sent in: huge breaks, superb swirling effects and a great sawing bassline that morphs and filters away to its hearts content. The percussion dips and changes throughout the track, the main hats have a lovely metallic sound to them which would ring around a club sound system just right. This one should be played loud and over and over.

A very explosive track of all dimensions: the beats are frantic and sharp, the buzzing synth FX is electric and the bassline just shoves you around the place! It's that big sound analogue synth that does it. There is an underlying sub tone to the main bassline but maybe it could have been beefed up and really put a nice dark sound to the tune. Sematics main forte is his FX sounds buzzing and whizzing around in the background... totally unique and full of lots of movement. If the beats aren't lively enough for you then hold tight, they totally flip out around half way through with a great breakdown and a great sounding percussive break is overlaid giving the tune a great attitude.

Filtor - Dark Matter - www.mp3.com/c-14

REVIEW BY: Knowledge
'Dark Matter' continues to probe deeper into unreality and I get a real sense of a new universe being created around me. Attention to detail with the FX flying around the audio spectrum is the killer blow. There's a manic pulsating rhythm line and a sublimely recognisable pad sound that could have drifted in from 'Inner City Life' and it makes you feel that you've just witnessed something beautiful being born in some other galaxy. The basslines used in this one are a lot subtler than in the previous track showing his diversity. The ever present filtering is there but, in this track, it sets the scene but doesn't dominate it. It's one of those 'huge' sounding tracks. Pure sci-fi drum & bass.

Mobiuz - Redline

REVIEW BY: Knowledge
Mobiuz seems to have atmospheric intros down to an artform and this one doesn't differ. As the atmosphere resides we hear the remnants of a bassline come down from the heavens before it slams down to the ground and a sweeping Future cut inspired beat rips it up. With a few good tracks to his name, this producer from Indiana, USA looks set to go far.

REVIEW BY: Knowledge
A smooth and sultry pad brings you into the heart of the introduction as a fast stepping beat fills the void. The short break leaves nothing to the imagination when a hard grinding bassline steps up to the fore. This track does well to evolve every step of the way and shows a definite talent from this producer based in Perth, Australia.
