Groovy's New Night

Grooverider will be starting a new night at Subterrania in Ladbroke Grove, London. Prototype's 'Connexions' night will run every Bank holiday Monday starting May 7th with the 'rider himself plus guests Bryan Gee, Fabio, Optical and Fierce. The next installment will be 3 weeks later on the 28th of May with guests Frost, Ed Rush, Andy C and Marley Marl. Bad Company's massive 'Planet Dust'/'Speedball' should also be in your shops April 30th.

Up and Coming Krusafix Releases

Things at Neurogenik Transmissions appear to be getting busier all of the time, with countless releases forthcoming, of which include a new Krusafix Album on the 30th April 2001, followed by a new Remix Album released 28th May 2001, and a Special Edition Remix Album released on the 25th June 2001.
Ever since the debut album from Krusafix, entitled "Cyber Angel", the demand for a follow up has been high. You can expect this next installment to be just as big, as the Neurogenix team hot up for 2001. For more info check out: www.krusafix.com

London Electricity On Radio One

London Elektricity will be hosting a Hospital show for Radio One's "One World" between midnight and 2.00am on thursday 17th May. In keeping with the label's musical policy the show will feature an hour of drum and bass and an hour of freestyle "out patients" music, and mixes from high contrast and landslide.

London Elektricity will also be guests on fabio's show on radio one on the 4th may (02.00-04.00am).

Fallen Angels Update

Alex and Utah have a few new masterpieces up their sleeves which are currently smashing it in the clubs on dubplate, and the Fallen Angels Posse are aiming for another single release on Fallen Angels 21 for the end of the summer.
Mr. Reece is currently taking a break from DJ-ing to concentrate on new tunes, but Utah Jazz is still out and about with forthcoming gigs @ the legendary Movement AND Swerve sessions in London.

Moving Shadow News

Exile is the next to step out in the MSX series with "Bad Diet / Only If / Vermin Run / Kryptonite" due in May. Shadow are set for another busy year, with Omni Trio's "Even Angels Cast Shadows" LP, to be accompanied by albums from Technical Itch and EZ Rollers. The second "Killa Bites" compilation is due to be compiled by Tech itch. Also Perfect Combination are the next contributor in the MSX series, with "Bring Back The Bongo's / Highway Five / What Lies Beneath / The Slice" (MSXEP10).

Beta signs Nu Tone

After a period of development the Beta and John B websites are now up and running. The label marks its return with "The Other Side / Ticker Tape" from Exile (BETA07), "The Gate / Music For Lost Cities" from the man himself (BETA08) and new signing Nu Tone " Grand Central / The Boss" (BETA09). BETA010 Is scheduled tentatively for early June, and will feature two new tracks from Exile.

T.O.V Album Release.

Blaze FM Frequency Change!

BLAZE FM, one of London's premier pirate stations has moved from 99.5 to 94.0 FM. So make sure you all change and preset your radio's! Underfire's Clockwork LP

Underfire is a label that has certainly been doing some damage of late and after releasing the massive 'Blazin' a couple of years back they are ready to unleash the next episode, cue 'Clockwork'. This is considered more of a Stakka & Skynet artist album than anything else with many collaborations to boot. In the shops 30th April on 5 piece vinyl and CD you will be treated to such gems as 'Decoy', 'Bios-Fear' feat Kemal & Rob Data, 'Isolation' feat Keaton (Usual Suspects), 'Clockwork', 'Straight Jacket' feat DJ Skinny, 'Timelines', 'Altitude' feat DJ Friction, 'Spider Monkey' feat Shimon. Goldie Set To Star In Eastenders!

It has been rumoured that legendary Drum and Bass Don "Goldie" is set to star in England's premier TV soap "Eastenders". For people abroad, who do not know about Eastender's, it is England's most watched Television Soap, gaining an average 19 million viewers per week! Goldie, who has starred in Movies such as "Snatch" and James Bond's "The World Is Not Enough", is planned to appear as an Eastend bad guy, although it hasn't been finalised, who knows, we may see him a villain sidekick to Dirty Dan!

New MC joins Black Locust Posse

A second mic specialist has been added to the black-locust Crew. Ragga Banton, now living in Sacramento is a deep rooted dancehall, drum n' bass and hip-hop MC. Just returning from a US tour with Mad Max (Black Pearl \ DC) and also working with the Ghostribe Krew, keep an eye out for upcoming dates, projects and information reguarding the extrordinary talents of this always proper ragga-stylist!

Infrastructure Update!

On his own label Jamie returns with a pair of samplers for the forthcoming Infrastructure LP. The first contains "Tell Me - J-Majik Solarize - J-Majik / Homicide - Future Cut / Hypnotizin - Futurebound" with the second featuring "The Space Invaderz Mix - Jmajik / Iron Eyes - Futurebound & Protocol." Paradox First Release

Paradox Productions has landed with the first release confirmed as "Aries Maze / Drum Sessions" and scheduled for late May 2001. Watch also for new releases forthcoming on Archive, 2000 Black, Droppin Science, Reinforced and Good Looking. Dev has also done some music for a new Sony Playstation game, though is unable to name either the firm or game due to contractual reasons. The next LIVE show is this month in Berlin alonside Eniac: PARADOX LIVE @ WMF Club, Berlin - Germany, April 13th 2001 with Dev promising performances this year in Canada, New Zealand, USA, Australia, Tokyo, Sweden, Italy, Iceland, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Austria. Kosheen's "Slip n Slide, Suicide", tune looks to be a big hit and make a possible entry into the UK top 20! It is currently being canned on every station throughout the UK, and is currently the most asked for tune on Capital FM! one of England's biggest commercial stations! So will it be Kosheen that takes Drum and Bass into commercialisation? What with J Majik's "Love is Not a Game" making national interest, it looks like this year could spark off a national Drum and Bass Craze! Oh No!!!
