Jazz Bass 3
Release
|
|
In 1996 DJ SS introduced the world to a new concept “Jazz’n’Bass”. That concept served one purpose and one purpose only, that was to put more of a musical aspect back into Drum & Bass. Setting our sites on a wider audience Jazz’n’Bass volume I was compiled, featuring some of the scene’s leading artist’s such as DJ SS, John B and Matrix.
2 years later Jazz’n’Bass volume 2 saw the light of day, this time attracting even more key players such as Codename John, Shy FX, Blue sonix and Perfect Combination, as well as the artist’s from volume 1. Jazz’n’Bass made immediate impact and caught the eye of the press & media instantly. Magazines such as Mixmag, M8, ATM, Knowledge, Muzik all featured Jazz’n’Bass.
Now for the new millennium we have done it again “Jazz’n’Bass Volume III”.
This project is about quality and production giving the artist the chance to experiment with their music. DJ SS has gone for a slightly different approach with this album, once again concentrating on the jazzier cuts of the contempory drum & bass scene and including other styles such as Pure Jazz, Downbeat, Funk and also using more vocals.
This project shows that the drum & bass sound that we hear today is not just about beats, noise and bass. Our music carries many identity’s and Jazz’n’Bass is just one of them.
Jazz’n’Bass III can be played, whatever mood you are in. If you want to get up and dance it’s got it. If you want chill and listen to it at home it works. If you are out a Bar or club you will hear it.
Jazz’n’Bass giving the Drum & Bass scene a NEW IDENTITY.

L Double has done nothing but bounce back from his Galaxy 105 sacking,
firstly, his “Da Product LP” was a huge hit, even we couldn’t get our hands

an imminent single release of “Trouble Maka”, they are once again back
on track, if they even went of it in the first place?.

Nothing changes with
Roni!
|
|
"Who Told You” has become an instant success. Yes we’ve seen in
on MTV and heard it non stop on Radio One, he has done it again! Roni Size,
follows the garage MC trail (wonder where they those garage girlies got
that from? ahem.), and released the smash hit under Roni’s favourite label
“Talkin Loud”. Pumped out worldwide, the track has become the biggest thing
since 26 Bass, which was also on MTV and even gained an appearance on
Big Breakfast. Weird! |
