Makoto EP
Tokyo-born Makoto's musical interests started in kindergarten with Beethoven, and through studying acoustics at university, he became interested in the computer simulation of sounds. His discovery of drum & bass came courtesy of the Tokyo club scene, and once hooked, he began experimenting in the studio trying to recreate the sound.
Success has followed. From his first UK release, Wave, on Nexus, Makoto has gone from strength to strength, proving himself to be one of the more diverse and promising unknown elements in Good Looking's musical repertoire. He is fast becoming one of the label's most prolific new artists, showing off his talents across the spectrum of musical styles.
This EP sees Makoto in top drum & bass form, collaborating with brother Akira on two of the tracks, featured on the latest Progression Sessions CD. A testament to his rich, textured style, Situations is a consolidation of Makoto's achievements so far, and a promise of great things to come.
