Various Artists - Harder they Come Vol 2. (Renegade Hardware)
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B

Ok, last month we reviewed part 1, so we might as well review part 2, this month. Some nice tunes on this one, and a new duo which we ain't ever heard of before feature. Keaton & Nitrox present us a track entitled "Venom", which is full of ballistic breaks & beats warfare. As ever, Total Science roll up the volume with a nice little number in "Big Tyme", having a rather Hardcore feel to that one. Tronik, is another name we aren't familiar with, and "One Day", is a nice tune for us to be introduced by. Good stuff as ever from the Renegade crew, happy to see them hitting back with quality tunes.

RATING: 9/10

Technical Itch - The fear / Release me (Penetration)
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B

Released this month we believe, Technical Itch roll out a dark little tune that is sure to blast you off your feet on the dancefloor. Nice sytnh stabs, rolling dark bassline and stepping beats, "The fear" gets you jumpin around all four corners of ya room. On the flip, "Release Me" reminds us of '96', a familiar patterned sound that was floating around in that year. Triangle pings and electro riffs, very nice, and a good b-side.

RATING:7/10

Ill Logic & Raf - Forever Young feat. Elizabeth Troy (Emotif Recordings)
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B

Ha Ha, well, this has a funny opener we'll tell ya that. Sounding more like a house tune to start off with, the percussion slowly starts to build up, along with the vocals of the well respected Elizabeth Troy. Three minutes into the tune, and we have drums kicking in, and the tune beginning to slide into effect. A smooth instrumental track that never really bangs into an up-tempo tune, so this is strictly a chill zone!

RATING: 7/10

Raf - Get loose / Unknown (Double Zero)
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B

Yes, liking this tune a lot. Very latino with house influence present. Wooden claps and beats accompany a piano rythm that winds you up and down throughout, a good production. The flip, un-named as of yet, has a more vibrant up-tempo approach with a very jazz feel, the perfect flip.

RATING: 8/10

Asend & Ultravibe - What Kind Of World (DJ Hazard Remix)- (?)
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B

Oh my gosh. This is a tune. Sidewinding bassline, clashing beats and drums, this is one to get you jumping. Heard this one on net radio so no idea about release / label info. Very nice though with a very Ed Rush and L Double feel to the tune. Anybody with any further info get in contact.

RATING: 9/10

Wrisk - Slap a Long (Gain Recs)
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B

Not heard the full tune of this one. But from what we have heard, it is already sounding like its gonna be a killer. Very Video Game sounding, it has the right beats, bass and rythm to carry a well produced tune. Look out for this one!
