Dylan and DJ Loxy - “End Of Days Remix” / Mindmachine - “Epidemic”
(Cylon)
|
|
REVIEW BY: Spex
The remix of “End Of Days” comes to us just as the original had been
smashed on plate and full release. The remix has given life to the
track
once again, the original vibe has been retained with some extra
elements
in the mix that make it a little different. The B Side is in a similar
style but a bit beefier with the main rhythm section created using the
Amen break, again, with some nasty bassline pressure. This time from
Mindmachine.

MISSY ELLIOT – GET YA FREAK ON – RMX (BOOTLEG)
|
|
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B
Oh yes, another fine fine remix! Get ya freak on, a tune that many Hip Hop addicts were bouncing around to not only a few weeks ago, little did they know that there was a better version available via the very tight networks of Drum and Bass. This bootleg is being cained in sets up and down the UK, and is going down a stormer. The stabbing keyboard synths and beats makes this a definite d&b catchy tune! If this doesn’t get ya jumpin we don’t know what will! But we wanna see a full release! On white at least, come on:)

Dylan, Facs and B-Key - “Terrordome” / “Study” (Biotic)
|
|
REVIEW BY: Spex
Taken from the forthcoming Penitentiary EP, here we find the 3 amigos
on
the Biotic label with two ruff’n’tuff hard edged Drum ‘n’ Bass cuts.
Only for the headstrong! “Terrordome” is an Amen workout with the house
shaking sub bass and dark atmospheric elements giving this one the
triple x warning. “Study” is on the Tech Step tip and in the typical
Biotic Style. A taster from the forthcoming double pack.

JOHN B – NO ONE LIKE YOU – TANGENT
|
|
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B
Oh yes, definitely a summer tune or what! John B releases this one on his newest sister label “Tangent”, due for release sometime this month, it really is a magnificent vocal track that is played best out in the sun, with ya stereo on full blast. Not sure who provides the vocals on this one, but the nice slow beats and guitar sounding synths go down well, mixing in with the soulful voice of magnificent vocalist. You can tell straight away that this is a John B tune, through the quality production and style of experimental madness, this is a track that you definitely don’t want to miss, and what a track for a first release of what is sure to be a fine labelJ

Future Tech - “X-Project EP” (Technique)
|
|
REVIEW BY: Spex
Its time for the long awaited “X-Project”, on this double pack
Drumsound
and Simon ‘Bassline’ Smith are joined by Aquasky. The trio from
Bournemouth have given their all on the “Distortion Remix”, breathing
life back into a classic Technique moment! The flipside is “My Way” a
brand new lickshot from the Future Tech Clique. This is on the old
skool
tip, using the Amen Break and Mentasm hoover bass it will get ‘em
wanting more on the dancefloor!! Followers of the Technique Story will
no doubt remember the original version of “Future Tech”, well the Tech
Crew have remixed it for this project and is ready to rip it up once
again. The last track “Today” is another new track with tuff rollin
beats that Bassline sound creates another epic Technique moment.
