Sonic & Silver - Soul Food / Summer of love- (Science Fiction)
|
|
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B
The first release on science fiction is a real beauty. Good ambient and rolling percussions with precision beats brings out the real sonic and silver flavour. Nicely sampled vocals fuses this track together to make the rythms something to wind to. The flipside is the exact opposite. Hitting us with funky stabbing beats and synthized sounds, this represents a more jungle style upbeat approach to again a nicely laid down ambient track. Once again, this track features sampled vocals and again is brilliant mixed together. A top notch production and first class opening catalogue for the label.

Alpha Omega - Kaos theory -(Reinforced)

REVIEW BY: Bazzy B
Talk about clashy sounds and beats. This one is king of em all! Sounding like some onward march to world war 3, this tune represents enough electrical vibe and energy to power an entire city. The beats and symbols kick in, and smash, you are hit with an array of clashing weapons and beats, nice one:)

Moving Fusion - Thunderball / Lazy Bones
- (Ram)
|
|
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B
Nice opening to this tune, starting off with piano riffs and then a nice onward rolling bass starts to build along with some escalting beats. mix em all together and you have yourself a thunderball rolling around in your ears. Whurring basslines and catchy soundz, this one will have you dancin, promise:) On the flip, lazy bones gived us a more comical laid back tune. At first sounding like something from the circus, it deepens and explodes into a more well thought out mixture of sidewinding sounds and bass.

Sketch & Code
- Blinded / Falling
- (Intercom)
|
|
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B
Always a big fan of the Intercom fraternity, it is hard not to review this track. One of the best productions to come out of the camp, Sketch and Code hit us with some extensive talent. Male singing vocals and good use of instrumental looping, this tune contains some traces of urban takeover influence, which can be found in the deep bass. A brilliant track which has funk written all over it! Falling, on the B Side, doesn't fail to dissapoint. At first i thought I had selected the wrong speed on my decks, but no it is part of a crazy tune. More vocals are present, although this time they are more of the sampled kind:) Once again, this tune has more hip elements representing than any other sort you can find, and it deepens into an electrical frenzy. One word can some up this entire package. WICKED!
