KELTECH "THE WORLD DOMINATION EP" (PYRAPLASTIC RECORDS UK)
REVIEW BY: SPEX

Forthcoming from the Dark Destroyer,Keltech, will be a four tracker, it will be released on the South Wales (UK) based Pyraplastic. The World Domination EP consists of the following titles, Joker, Flawless, the X - Rated S.O.M.F and the Titles track World Domination. Flawless and Joker - these two are ready to destroy the minds of the strongest Drum and Bass Raver. Produced in the typical Keltech style ruff cut up Amen breaks and the noise of the bassline heading straight for the nervous system! S.O.M.F. (X-Rated Drum and Bass) and World Domination. You may think the theme of this one (SOMF) has been put out on a certain Moving Shadow Records, but Keltechs Booty Shaking Drum and Bass track was put together way before. Its a bit of a departure from K's previous releases, but he still gets a little sinister with his last offering, World Domination, this is a perfect track for a DJ's set intro with a vocal going something like this : I'm the Dj and I will play the future sounds. I'm the DJ and I will play future Drum and Bass, I'm the DJ and I will control all these! Well all I can say is, IS THIS THE FUTURE? Release Date : November 2000

KLUTE "Fear Of The People LP" (Cert 18)
REVIEW BY: Bazzy B

This happens to be the perfect album, to wind down to after a hard night out. Klute provides us with a barrage of ambient drum and bass with a difference. Nice soundscape with mellow basslines that make you wanna chill, relax and listen in the bath with it on in the background. Kulte’s percussion expertise comes into full effect, and shows that Certificate 18 are serious about their production of liquid funk! Certificate 18 have been storming of late, just recently taking the liquid funk massive by storm with their release of "Branch of Knowledge" by Lexis, his debut album, and Klute's installment is set to be as big, with one very promising track entitled "Moving Finger", we all loved it here at Bombsounds, look out for that one in the future, all in all their are 12 fantastic tracks to be had on the LP, which is out early this month. Make sure you bag it! Coming soon, will be an interview with Klute on his latest Album!

GLITCH AND KONSPIRACY Unknown (Unknown)
REVIEW BY: SPEX

Through the post this month were two up and coming duo's (one put out their own imprint, and the other CDR before going to press). The CD from Konspiracy was Dark Image. This was from the studios of Venom and Napalm who have had a history in following punk bands and finally getting into electronic music. Here we go with their first Drum and Bass Project. Their 1st production Dark Image has two mixes my fave from the off, was Dark Image V's Amen, Which has been re-touched and remixed. This is the duo have gone for. The final mix backed by a new cut. The Dark Image is along the lines of a Dark Tech Steppa, which can be found in the files of Keltech's productions. Crisp (but ruff and ready) Amen pressure, old school synth pads and strings see Konspiracy take you on a journey through the Darkside. Next a duo out of Kent, known as Scatty and Jubba, going under the production title of Glitch. Two cuts on promo (S16 Records I think?) at the moment, they've come up with a style of their own kinda Jazz with a Reggae-fied Dub drop towards the end, but the Jazz lick isn't in the same way as Peshay or Roni Size's Reprazent production, its slightly more abstract. So, is the Drum and Bass World ready for a Glitch in the System? The track picking up most reaction is Inta-Nation. To give an honest opinion I'd like to hear a little more going on in the beat structure in the track on the flip - Big Ritchie. But the overall groove is Glitch and they work it! Nicely! Konsiracy Release Date : Unknown. Glitch - Release Date ; Out now on Ltd Promo.

RONI SIZE REPRAZENT "Who Told You" (Talkin Loud)
REVIEW BY: Anousha Kandiah

"Who Told You", a very catchy track that will make non bassheadz wanna purchase. It has a very Hip Hop feel, rather different to previous Roni Tracks. Although a very successful track from the Reprazent's crew, one too many hearings of it could drive you mad. As for the flipside, a much darker sound, Onalee providing the vocals once again, for me, I think this track is more for the Bassheadz, and should of ben on the A Side. All together, good two tracks, but not the best Roni has produced of late.

JOHN B Hold it Down (Creative Source)
REVIEW BY: SPEX

This man can turn his hand to many different styles of Drum and Bass. This time on Fabio's imprint, Creative Source, the bio-chemist takes a vocal route. Although this was being smashed in the summer, on its release will no doubt be another successful release for Creative Source. The flip is another vocal excursion. This time more of a female story, two quality cuts you'd expect from Fabio, John B and Creative Source! The whole vibe and feeling throughout both tracks is close to the sounds of Alex Reece from the So Far....
